Below is a summary of what I have come to believe about the American Bishops and their dismal handling of the COVID so-called “pandemic”.

  1. The American Bishops buckled under political pressure and closed churches in most dioceses during Lent & Holy Week 2020; in many cases withheld sacramental confession and even baptism and last rites for several weeks.

  8. Many Bishops pushed the faithful to get the abortion-tainted COVID-19 vaccines, going along with the tyrannical government.
      1. deprived of the last sacraments as they died;
      2. denied Mass for months on end;
      3. refused family weddings and funerals because of arbitrary attendance rules;
      4. offered invalid sacraments while bishops said medical personnel could do the actual anointing of a sick person while the priest stood behind the door praying;
      5. probably invalidating Confirmation by the use of Q-tips. (I would maintain longstanding sacramental theology holds that it is invalid).
      6. There has been no accounting.  Without accounting, we cannot even begin to talk about “amnesty” or pardon.

    • More than any other religious group, it is America’s Catholic bishops who lend moral support and cover to the current border situation.  How? Through their promotion to open borders — a strict adherence that warps God’s call to love our neighbors, and misunderstands the criminal situation at the border.  Any step the United States might take to enforce its immigration laws, the bishops oppose it — loudly and swiftly.
    • “The [USCCB] collected $50 million for migration and refugee services for the year 2020, most of which came from the federal government,” Lepanto Institute President Michael Hichborn told the news site Church Militant. “During that same period,” he added,” the U.S. bishops collected a meager $777,000 for pro-life activities.”
    • While we have an ordered call to charity, we don’t have a religious duty to have no nations, no laws, and no order.
    • God does not call us to violate just laws for charity, understanding we cannot extend good deeds to everyone on earth… no single teaching obscures the others to the detriment of the good; justice, charity, and mercy all must be weighed.  The Bishops have not paid proper heed to the harmful effects this charity without justice has had on the lives of the vulnerable.
    • The results of these mistakes are painful, are deadly, and are on our border every day and night. On this, there can be no confusion; it’s time for our church to recognize it.

  1. People have the right to migrate to sustain their lives and the lives of their families.
  2. A country has the right to regulate its borders and to control immigration.
  3. A country must regulate its borders with justice and mercy.
    • The Catholic Church teaches that every person has basic human rights and is entitled to have basic human needs met—food, shelter, clothing, education, and health care. (Freely offered or by mandate?  What limits?  What about the existing poor already in the country?)
    • Current immigration policy that criminalizes the mere attempt to immigrate and imprisons immigrants who have committed no crime or who have already served a just sentence for a crime is immoral.  (So, is it acceptable to break the laws associated with principle #2? Can we choose to break other laws?)
    • It is the position of the Catholic Church that pastoral, educational, medical, and social services provided by the Church are never conditioned on legal status. All persons are invited to participate in our parishes, attend our schools, and receive other services offered by our institutions and programs. (That’s all fine but what about the collateral damage caused by human trafficking, a direct result of the Catholic Church encouraging illegal immigration?)

 

Why I am not getting the COVID-19 “Vaccine”

Why I am not getting the COVID-19 “vaccine”.

  1. It is not a vaccine in the traditional sense of the word.  It is gene therapy, and I consider it to be very dangerous.  See this research page.
  2. It is not necessary.
    • The survival rate is greater than 99.5% even for people in my age group (> 65).  Even though you could argue the excessive false positives skew this statistic upward, other factors skew it the other direction.  The deaths attributed to COVID are also overstated, and more importantly, upwards of 80% of the reported deaths were likely unnecessary because early treatments were not used / suppressed.
    • I have already contracted COVID-19 and recovered, so I have natural immunity.  Natural immunity beats the waning effectiveness of these “vaccines” (see #4 below), according to many highly qualified doctors and scientists, and also this recent article.
    • Many doctors have had great success with early treatments.  This fact is suppressed so that the government and medical establishment could proceed with pushing the “vaccines”.
  3. It is not safe.  See 30+ articles on safety concerns.
  4. It is not effective.  It does not even claim to prevent infection or stop transmission.  It may have been effective in the beginning, but since then the virus has mutated so effectiveness has waned.  See these 25+ articles on its lack of effectiveness.
  5. According to many expert doctors, this gene therapy “vaccine” will weaken my natural immune system, increasing the risk of contracting other diseases.  For example, I have stage two kidney disease. I believe I am at higher risk from the “vaccines” than from the virus itself, especially with the available early treatments.
  6. I have come to distrust these institutions which are relentlessly pushing the COVID-19 “vaccines”, lying about safety and efficacy, suppressing treatment options, censoring dissent, and stifling debate:
  7. These “vaccines” were either developed or tested using aborted fetal tissue and taking them is therefore immoral. This is a personal belief, and the fact that a leftist Pope with leftist Bishops have a different view makes no difference.  They have long ago forfeited the moral high ground that their predecessors once held.
  8. Vaccine mandates and passports are always immoral.  They assume the government owns us.  The fact that most Americans have become accustomed to vaccinations does not make mandates acceptable.
    • There is also no precept in medical ethics that obliges someone to undergo a risky procedure or intervention to provide a possible health benefit to another person. No one should be forced to insert something into his body — particularly something that doesn’t even stop the spread of disease and that could injure or kill him.
  9. I refuse to submit to medical tyranny.  Our freedoms are steadily being eroded.  The time to stand up against this is NOW.

Open Letter to the Catholic Bishops – The Now Word (markmallett.com)  (9/27/2021)

Key points: There are seven basic premises the Church has apparently accepted as scientific facts that are, in fact, pseudo-science at best.

  1. This is a vaccine. 
    • mRNA is considered a gene therapy product by the FDA. —Moderna’s Registration Statement, pg. 19, sec.gov
  2. Ethically, everyone must take this “vaccine”
    • any coercion or “mandate” to force someone to be injected is a direct violation of Catholic teaching as well as the Nuremberg Code.
  3. The “vaccine” doesn’t have any “special dangers”
  4. There is no alternative
    • Since effective early treatments exist, the moral argument for taking these abortion-tainted injections completely falls apart.
  5. Vaccination is the only valid means of building “immunity”
    • You can’t beat natural immunity. You can’t vaccinate on top of it and make it better. —Dr. Peter McCullough, March 10th, 2021; cf. documentary Following the Science?
    • mRNA injections do not and never were designed to prevent the transmission of the virus.
  6. COVID-19 is the most pressing health issue
    • So while this is a more serious virus for those in high-risk categories, it has proven not to be so for the general population. According to the CDC, the survival rate for those under 50 years of age is 99.5%.
    • Two United Nations agencies have warned that the unprecedented lockdown of healthy populations could lead to a “doubling of world poverty” and a further “135 million” to starve to death.[41] It is a tragic irony that while our Church leaders are calling for equal distribution of these “vaccines”, the very lockdowns intended to “protect” the poor are killing them.
    • And what about those losing their businesses and livelihoods due to prolonged lockdowns? What about those thousands who are dying because of delayed surgeries? What about the skyrocketing mental health issues and potential explosion of suicides? What about the deaths through a pandemic of drug abuse? And what about those being forced from their jobs in this medical apartheid?
  7.  A “vaccine passport” is a “health” tool
    • Scientists around the globe, including the former Vice President of Pfizer, Dr. Mike Yeadon, are warning that vaccine passports are the end of freedom as we know it.  That the Vatican has now adopted such a tool, itself, is a scandal as it deliberately excludes perfectly healthy people, many who are naturally immune, from participating in society.
    • “Just take it from me, you don’t need vaccine passports. They provide nothing whatsoever to you or anyone else in relations to safety. But it will give away, to whoever controls that database and the rules, complete control over everything you do.” —Dr. Mike Yeadon, from Following the Science? 58:31 mark
    • “If they ever come to be, then it’s goodnight to society, goodnight to science, goodnight to humanity.” — Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi, Ibid; 58:48
    • “I can’t say it more forcefully enough, this is literally the end of human liberty in the West if this plan unfolds as planned.” —Dr. Naomi Wolfe, Ibid; 59:04

Mr. Mallett concludes:

…It should be clear now that neither honest nor open debate, nor freedom from particular interests or ideologies, has marked this pandemic. Rather, censorship, control, and manipulation have prevailed as thousands of scientists, doctors and health care workers have been threatened, de-platformed, or dismissed for sharing the very data that you have just read. That the Church is a party to this by virtue of her silence and/or complicit agreement, is not only grievous to many of us but the cost can literally be counted in lost and destroyed lives.

Please, dear shepherds, reject this new holocaust in the name of truth and science.
